All of my best and worst writing has happened inside coffee shops. There’s something magical about a place where people go to be together and alone at the same time.
I’m feeling rather nostalgic tonight, and since on Thursday I have no set writing plans (oh yes, I have plans now), I turned to Pinterest for inspiration. Pinspiration, if you will.
Did you know you can type writer quotes into the search bar and find so many inspiring words? I knew this, of course, but I’ve never done it ’til now.
Friends, if you are stuck at a crossroads in your work and you need more help than simply “pushing through it,” I really suggest turning to the greats. Whether it’s your favorite author of all time (of course JK is in my top 3), or looking back at the literary works we studied in high school and college for a little pick-me-up, reading a good quote is one of my favorite ways to remind myself why I do what I do.

Writing is no joke. It’s not for the faint at heart and it’s certainly not for quitters. So when you hit that brick wall and don’t know what else to do, dump the coffee and pour some wine, find your reason for writing, and then do it. It’s that easy, and that hard.
